2 from 2 gentlemen... 118-110 against the Milperra Viking Marauders!!! The rain held off long enough for us to get a win in against our arch nemesis... Batting first we got 118 which is the highest score of the season so far... Contributions made by Craig Holden 24*, Grant Holden 22* and back from a four year spell Craig Bowden with just missing out on retirement with 19*!!! A staggering 14 wides were bowled too which adds handsomely to the final score... Going out to defend 118 is still anyones game given the nature of Masters Cup but we prevailed in the very last over and that's how we have won both our first two games of the year!!! New Skipper Paul Collins once again the pick of the bowlers getting 2-7... 2 games as skipper and now has 4 wickets to his name so something different must definitely be in his water bottle and whatever it is hopefully he'll be a good sport and share it around!!! David Thode bowled well in the last over to get us home for the win... Next weeks clash will be against the other undefeated team in the competition the Berserkers!!! Let's go for 3 in a row lads!!!

FYI on Ground Closure
Posted By: FJ
For your information on ground closures gentlemen, these details are found within the Canterbury Bankstown Councils website under the sports field availability section... Type in a ground name within the search field and the details of the grounds status, be it open or closed will be found on the next page and when these details were last updated!!! Usually this information on all grounds are updated twice a day, once at 9 in the morning and the other at 3 in the afternoon... The last update of the week is at 3pm on the Friday and if the grounds are open at that time then all play for the following weekend is on but if the grounds are closed then that means that no play at all can happen thru out the weekend... The next update after the weekend is Monday morning 9am!!! If in the event at particular game or games are played on a ground that is closed then the sports association can be liable for huge fines... The council has the very last say on wether we can play on the ground or not!!!
